How does the inbuilt Freeview in your LCD TV package work?.

I’m happy about an upgrade to an LCD TV. I had always been connected to a separate Freeview box connected to my TV. Two things: How does the work on integrated DVB-T LCD TV? Do I pay set up and a subscription to Sky do not buy it or is a single payment (the price of the TV package when it first), and is that you have access to DVB-T time as the TV it works?
