NORTHERN POWER GENERATION COMPANY LIMITED (NPGCL - GENCO-III) IS SERVING THE NATION BY GENERATING ELECTRICITY FROM THE COST EFFICIENT AND ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY OPERATION. WE REQUIRE THE SERVICES OF A HIGH CALIBER PROCUREMENT PROFESSIONAL FOR PLACEMENT AS PROCUREMENT MANAGER / SPECIALIST OF NORTHERN POWER GENERATION COMPANY LIMITED (NPGCL - GENCO-III) MUZAFFARGARH. THIS IS A PROJECT BASED POSITION PROVIDING A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST TO PARTICIPATE AND BE A MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR TO THE POWER SECTOR REFORMS AND REHABILITATION PROJECTS.

JOB PROFILE:   

MANAGEMENT OF POWER PLANT EQUIPMENT, SPARS AND CONSUMABLE PROCUREMENT.
IMPLEMENTATION OF SOURCING STRATEGY AND USE OF E-PROCUREMENT TOOLS. WORK CLOSELY WITH GENCO MANAGEMENT TEAM AND WAPDAS CENTRAL CONTRACT CELL.

1.      ANALYZING SOURCING STRATEGY, SUPPLIER SELECTION, IMPROVEMENT OF PROCUREMENT PROCESS FOR THE GENCO.

2.      ANALYZING INFORMATION FOR PREPARATION OF PROCUREMENT PLANT FOR THE PROJECTS AND MONITORING OF THEIR IMPLEMENTATION.

3.      IMPLEMENTING MONITORING AND CONTROL OF PROCUREMENT PROCESS INCLUDING ORGANIZATION OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) INTERNATIONAL TENDER BIDS (ITB) OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP), RECEIPT OF QUOTATION OF CONTRACTS IN PROPOSALS, THEIR EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION OF CERTAIN CONDITIONS OF CONTRACTS IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE RULES AND REGULATIONS.

4.      ENSURING IMPLEMENTATION OF SOURCING STRATEGY AND E-PROCUREMENT TOOLS FOCUSING ON DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF THE ROSTERS OF SUPPLIERS, ELABORATION OF SUPPLIER SELECTION AND EVALUATION CRITERIA, QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT MECHANISMS.

  1. DESIGNING AND IMPLEMENTS TRAINING PROGRAM FOR THE OPERATIONS / PROJECTS STAFF ON PROCUREMENT.
  2. LIAISES WITH FREIGHT FORWARDERS TO COORDINATE THE TRANSPORT OF GOODS TO FINAL DESTINATIONS.


1.2    QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE:

MINIMUM BACHELOR S DEGREE IN FIELDS RELATED TO BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, MANAGEMENT, PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, OR ANY OTHER RELATED FIELD AND FOUR YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AT THE NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL LEVEL IN ALL PHASES OF PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT.

AGE UPTO 45 YEARS

SALARY PACKAGE:

EQUAL TO BPS-19 (NEGOTIABLE).

TENURE:

THE INITIAL CONTRACT SHALL BE FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR EXTENDABLE ON THE REQUIREMENT OF PROJECTS OR OTHERWISE.
